At the IX Congress of the FPU in Kyiv, Serhiy Byzov was re-elected as the chairman of the organization.
Based on the voting results, the congress elected veteran and combatant Serhiy Byzov as Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine. I congratulate Mr. Serhiy on his election to this high position; I am confident his experience and knowledge will be useful for the further reform and development of the trade union movement. We look forward to continuing our fruitful cooperation
The Minister noted that in his speech at the congress of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, he emphasized that people are the absolute priority for the state. Therefore, all changes, reforms, and transformations must be aimed at the needs and prospects of every Ukrainian.
In this context, Shmyhal, as Minister of Energy, added that last winter, more than 15,000 workers in the industry and related critical services returned electricity to homes and enterprises under incredibly difficult conditions following Russian attacks.
According to Shmyhal, in addition to the actual preparation of the energy sector for winter—restoring capacities, forming equipment reserves, and repairing damaged facilities—attention is also being paid to the human dimension.
The well-being of the specialists upon whom the entire critical infrastructure rests. We paid bonuses to repair crews for their hard work this winter, we are eliminating the problem of wage arrears, and we are also working on increasing salaries.
