The newly appointed French Ambassador to Ukraine, Brice Roquefeuil, recorded a video address in Ukrainian before starting his diplomatic mission. It was published on July 25 on the official social media pages of the French Embassy in Ukraine, reports UNN.

In the address recorded in Paris, the diplomat said he was already on his way to Ukraine and would soon begin work in Kyiv. He noted that he recorded the video from the building of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs on the Quai d'Orsay.
"Before heading to Kyiv, I would like to introduce myself to you from here, from the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Quai d'Orsay, where a few days ago President Zelenskyy was to participate in a meeting of the 'coalition of the willing,'
The new ambassador also recalled that over the past three years he has repeatedly visited Ukraine as Director of the Continental Europe Department of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
According to him, in this position he actively worked on issues of supporting Ukraine in various areas.

French President Emmanuel Macron appointed Brice Roquefeuil as the new ambassador to Ukraine by a decree on July 13. Prior to this, the French diplomatic mission in Kyiv was headed for three years by Gaël Veyssière, who is returning to Paris, where he will head the Crisis Support Center of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
