Beginning his first meeting in Poland, Magyar emphasized that he seeks to restore bilateral relations with Poland so they can "regain the place they deserve" after years of conflict under Viktor Orbán's rule. This is reported by Polskie Radio.

Magyar also stated that he wants to revitalize the "Visegrad Four" format — involving the Czech Republic and Slovakia — and even expand it to include Austria and other regional partners.

Péter Magyar also laid wreaths at the monuments to the Polish Pope John Paul II and the former 16th-century King of Poland, the Hungarian Stephen Báthory. Additionally, he demonstrated knowledge of the Polish language, as reported by The Guardian.
