Thus, the Prosecutor General spoke at the conference "Restoring Justice for Ukraine" in The Hague.
Representatives of the Dialogue Group and EU justice ministers gathered in The Hague for the conference "Restoring Justice for Ukraine".
"Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin, together with EU Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders, ICC Prosecutor Kareem Khan and President of Eurojust Ladislav Hamran, discussed current priorities and identified steps needed to support Ukraine in its fight for justice," the statement said.
Kostin noted that justice requires practical steps.
"And today we have taken an important practical step to build our comprehensive liability network: The Register of Losses is now open for applications. This is a great achievement and another result of the combined efforts of the free world," said Kostin.
The Prosecutor General reminded that a year ago, at the United for Justice conference in Lviv, the establishment of the Dialogue Group on Multilateral Support for Ukraine was announced. Since then, the Dialogue Group has become an important platform for uniting efforts in the investigation and prosecution of international crimes committed by Russia.
Kostin thanked the members of the Group for their leadership and engagement, the Netherlands for organizing this outstanding conference and their continued support, and the European Commission, the International Criminal Court and Eurojust for their efforts and commitment.
"The path to restoring justice is long and difficult. But if we remain steadfast, determined and united, we will win. Not only for the sake of Ukraine and Ukrainians, but also for the restoration and preservation of a just peace in Ukraine, Europe and the world," the Prosecutor General emphasized.
