Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned US President Donald Trump's attacks on Pope Leo XIV "on behalf of the great nation of Iran," adding that the desecration of "Jesus, the prophet of peace and brotherhood" is unacceptable to "any free person," UNN reports with reference to The Guardian.

Context

The statement came after Trump lashed out at the Pope from the Truth Social organization, calling him "weak on crime" and "terrible on foreign policy."

He added: "I don't need a Pope who thinks it's okay to have nuclear weapons.
