The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, suggests that a new Israeli strike on Beirut could undermine negotiations with the US to end the war, UNN reports, citing Sky News.

Ghalibaf suggests that the US and Israel are trying to play a "bad cop, good cop" game that is "outdated," and also anticipates that American commitments during peace talks are being undermined by such strikes.
Ghalibaf wrote: "The Zionist invasion of Dahiyeh has once again shown that America either lacks the will to fulfill its obligations or lacks the capacity to do so.
By giving the regime the green light, you will not achieve concessions. The 'bad cop' and 'good cop' game is outdated.
If you lack the will and capacity to fulfill your obligations, it is impossible to talk about continuing the path."

The publication notes that reports have emerged in recent days that the US has tried to exclude Lebanon from a deal to end the war with Iran, but Iranian leaders are insisting on its inclusion to stop Israeli attacks on Hezbollah, the militant Iranian proxy in the country.
The Deputy Commander of Iran's Joint Military Command also reacted to the Israeli attacks, according to Iranian state media, which claim that Israel's "crimes" will not go unpunished.
As reported by an Axios correspondent, Israel notified the US military in the region shortly before the start of the attack on the Beirut suburb.
