In the Ternopil region, a city council official has been notified of suspicion for allegedly conducting illegal registration actions and transferring lands of a defense enterprise worth over 15.7 million UAH to private structures. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.
Under the procedural guidance of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office, the head of the registration department of one of the region's city councils was notified of suspicion regarding unauthorized actions with information in automated systems,
According to the investigation, in February 2022, the official carried out illegal registration actions and registered ownership rights for non-existent unfinished construction projects to private structures. These are land plots currently used by a state enterprise of the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine.
The investigation established that the registrar failed to properly verify the submitted documents and did not identify the absence of construction permits and land rights. The basis for registration was documents with signs of forgery—technical passports, joint activity agreements, and certificates of address assignment that were never actually issued. During inspections, it was discovered that there are no construction objects on these plots.
According to expert findings, the market value of the lands exceeds 15.7 million UAH. Measures are currently being taken to cancel the illegal registration actions and identify all persons involved.
