During a joint patrol with servicemen from the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCR) in the Obolon district, patrol officers reportedly noticed two men who were acting suspiciously and trying to avoid interaction.
Subsequently, law enforcement officers stopped the citizens for a check. It was established that one of them had violated military service legislation.
"After this, the man tried to flee the scene, and his acquaintance put up active resistance—attempting to inflict bodily harm on the police officers and servicemen," the report states.
The patrol officers, as indicated, detained both men using handcuffs in accordance with the law.
"During the detention, a group of individuals gathered at the scene and began to behave aggressively: they struck and tugged at the uniforms of the military and police officers. In connection with this, the police brought their service firearms to combat readiness and warned those present about the possibility of their use. (...) After the warning, the offenders dispersed. Firearms were not used," the Kyiv Patrol Police noted.
The detainees were taken to the Obolon District TCR, where the relevant administrative materials were filed against them.
