On the night of June 9, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kharkiv using strike drones. Eleven UAV hits were recorded in the city, while two more drones fell without detonating. The Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts came under fire. According to the mayor, Russian invaders attacked residential buildings, civilian enterprises, shops, cars, and urban infrastructure facilities. One of the drones hit a high-rise residential building, resulting in cars being burned and dozens of vehicles damaged.

Another drone hit an apartment building between the eighth and ninth floors but did not detonate. Residents of the building were evacuated. Administrative and production premises, a business center, a cafe, a church, and residential buildings also sustained damage, with windows blown out in many of them.

Rescuers, medics, law enforcement officers, utility services, and volunteers are working at the impact sites. Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the attack and provide assistance to the victims are ongoing.
