In Belarus, during a military parade, a strike drone was demonstrated, allegedly of its own design. However, it turned out to be an Iranian kamikaze drone of the Shahed type. This was reported by Defence Express, UNN wrote.

Details

According to the publication, these are strike unmanned aerial vehicles with a warhead of up to 52 kilograms and a speed of up to 180 km/h and a range of up to two thousand kilometers, which apparently have been named "Nomad" in Belarus.

Defence Express writes that the presence of Iranian drones in Belarus was discussed in the fall of 2022. Last year, it was reported that Iranian engineers were on a business trip to Belarus.

The publication emphasizes that as of today, it is not known whether Belarus has actually launched the production of Shahed-type kamikaze drones or at least their assembly.

Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Oleksandr Ruvin toldhow Russians hide the presence of foreign components by using mechanical and laser grinding.

"Mechanical and laser obliteration of markings on microelectronics are two different methods of hiding information about the manufacturer of the elements and other characteristics of microelements. The choice of method may depend on a number of factors. When using mechanical erasure, part or all of the marking is physically removed from the surface of the elements. Laser abrasion is more complicated, but it also removes the markings.

Such actions of the enemy are aimed at complicating the identification work to disclose important information data, determine specific technical characteristics and establish the origin of the equipment, as well as study the functionality of the systems. Targeted work to conceal a certain group of elements indicates that they are critical to the enemy, have strategic importance and cannot be replaced by other resources," Ruvin said.
