Germany is allocating €300 million for 50,000 shells for Ukraine as part of the Czech initiative. Last year, the FRG had already directed €1 billion to this project.

Germany will provide an additional 300 million euros for the purchase of ammunition for Ukraine as part of the Czech initiative. This was announced by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius after talks in Berlin with Czech Defense Minister Jaromír Černochová. This is reported by Novinky, according to UNN.

According to Pistorius, the allocated funds should be enough to purchase about 50,000 artillery shells for the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The German minister emphasized that the Czech initiative remains an important mechanism for supporting Ukraine and thanked Prague for continuing this project.

– stated Czech Defense Minister Jaromír Černochová during a visit to Berlin.

According to the Czech side, Ukraine has already received over 4 million large-caliber munitions within the framework of the initiative. Germany remains the largest foreign donor to the project, having allocated a total of 1 billion euros to it last year.
