Ukrainian defenders withstood more than 60 combat engagements on Friday. The Russian invaders attacked in 6 directions, most actively on the Novopovalisk front. Our defenders repelled more than 20 enemy attacks there. This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UNN reports.
Within the last day, 61 combat engagements were registered. In total, the enemy launched 38 missile and 59 air strikes, fired 72 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and localities.

In the Liman sector, Russians tried to break through the defense of our troops under the cover of air cover near Terny in Donetsk region and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region. On Friday, our defenders repelled 10 attacks there.
Ukrainian defenders repelled the enemy twice in the Bakhmut sector. Occupants attacked Klishchiyivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region under cover of the sky.
In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to drive our units out of their positions near Berdychiv, Umanske, Tonenke, Pervomayske and Nevelske. Our defenders withstood 16 attacks.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka and Vodiane. Here, the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops more than 20 times, but without success.
In the Orikhivsk sector, the Russian army twice tried to improve their tactical position near Staromayorske in Donetsk region and northwest of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region. However, even air support did not give them the advantage to dislodge our defenders from their positions.
In the Kherson sector, Russians attacked the positions of our troops on the left bank of the Dnipro River twice during the day. The General Staff did not disclose the geolocation.
