The G7 countries reaffirmed their support for strengthening cross-border connectivity, including infrastructure and building sustainable supply chains, as well as integrating Ukraine's transportation network through the development of new rail connections to the European gauge. They approved these intentions in the Declaration following the G7 Transport Ministers' Summit. We will continue to work with the Ukrainian authorities, European institutions and international financial institutions through the Multi-Agency Donor Coordination Platform (MDCP) in Ukraine and by mobilizing private investment. We welcome the expansion of the MDCP, the establishment of the Common Interest Group for Ukraine (CIG4U) during the International Transport Forum (ITF), and the ITF High Level Dialogue on Ukraine.

In the documentsummarizing the results of the Summit, the G7 Transport Ministers reaffirmed that rebuilding Ukraine remains a key priority. In order to achieve this, the G7 Transport Ministers welcome various initiatives aimed at resilient global supply chains despite the war in Ukraine. In particular, it is about the Ukrainian Black Sea Maritime Corridor and the OECD Program in Ukraine.
The Ministry of Development noted that Ukraine's Western partners recognize the EU-Ukraine Solidarity Lanes Initiative as a vector for Ukraine and Moldova's integration into the European transport area and as a permanent "gateway" to the EU single market and global supply chains.
The importance of Ukraine's Black Sea maritime corridor as an economic and efficient export corridor by sea was also emphasized. The initiatives to demine the Black Sea, as well as the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Agreement on Freight Transport by Road, were also discussed.
We are therefore fully committed to continuing our work to rebuild sustainable, smart and safe transportation systems in Ukraine, following the principle of "rebuilding better than before". Ukraine's infrastructure and transportation systems are critical not only to the recovery of Ukraine's economy and the well-being of its citizens, but also to the restoration of international transportation links that will benefit global trade and supply chains.
The meeting was directly attended by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine. As a result of these talks, it was decided to establish a G7 Supply Chain Working Group to focus on current transportation challenges.

The G7 transport ministers met in Milan on April 11-13, 2024, chaired by Italian Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini, to discuss and exchange approaches to the future of mobility. At the Special Session on Cooperation with Ukraine, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov emphasized the need to restore the energy and transportation sectors, as well as investment opportunities for international business.
