Ukrainian fencer Olga Harlan won her first match at the 2024 Olympics in sabre fencing, defeating Japan's Shihomi Fukushima, and advanced to the 1/8 finals, UNN reports, citing the results of the competition on the Olympic website.

Harlan started at the Olympics in the round of 16, where she won the sabre competition with a score of 15:9 against Fukushima of Japan.

The Ukrainian thus advanced to the 1/8 finals, which will take place at 15:05 Kyiv time.
