For 35-year-old Emma Stone, this is the second Oscar in her career. She received her first statuette for her role in the movie La La Land. She previously won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for her role in Les Miserables.
"Poor Wretches is a film by Yorgos Lanthimos, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Alasdair Gray. The film tells the story of a surgeon who fishes the body of a young pregnant woman out of the Thames and transplants the brain of her own unborn baby into her.
