With deep pain and unspeakable sadness, the leadership and staff of the Kramatorsk District State Administration and the District Military Administration report that on May 8, 2026, at the age of 46, Roman Shavkatovych Simashov, Deputy Head of the Kramatorsk District State Administration, tragically passed away as a result of a Russian strike on the city of Kramatorsk carried out on May 5
The District State Administration shared that Simashov was a man of great dignity, honor, and inner strength, as well as a responsible leader.

On Tuesday, May 5, the Russian army dropped 3 high-explosive aerial bombs on the center of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. Initially, three dead and five wounded were reported.
Subsequently, the number of dead and injured as a result of the Russian attack on Kramatorsk increased to 5 and 12 people, respectively.
