The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the "Contract 18-24" program to the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. This was announced by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in Telegram, reports UNN.

"The experiment has been extended to the National Guard of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The grounds for payment of a one-time monetary reward for the duration of service in combat conditions, participation in combat operations in the areas of hostilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the territory between the positions of the defense forces and the positions of the troops of the aggressor states, on the territory of the aggressor state" have been included," Melnychuk said.
He added that the list of staff positions in which Ukrainians aged 18 to 25 are serving is approved by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Main Directorate of the National Guard, and the Administration of the State Border Guard Service in coordination with the General Staff.
In addition, the procedure for medical examination of citizens of Ukraine, in particular, a psychiatrist, has been simplified.
The corresponding changes were made to the Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution No. 153 "On the implementation of an experimental project to increase the motivation of certain categories of citizens of Ukraine to military service in the Armed Forces during martial law".

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for the project "Contract 18-24" - a voluntary initiative for Ukrainians in the age category of 18-24 years. The procedure stipulates that Ukrainians aged 18 to 24 can conclude a contract with a military unit for a year, but a prerequisite is participation in combat operations for 6 months, defines a certain list of positions for which a contract can be signed, and also provides a number of incentives.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has expanded the list of brigades to join under the "Contract 18-24" initiative.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following the meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, announced that the "Contract 18-24" program is planned to be extended to other brigades as well. In particular, it is planned to add brigades of the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service.
Under the "Contract 18-24", the first girl joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She will serve in the 72nd Brigade.
