The Ukrainian Navy Commander thanked for renaming a boulevard in Odesa in honor of Ukrainian sailors. This is a recognition of the merits of the military who defend Ukraine from Russian aggression at sea.

The Commander of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Neizhpapa thanked the head of the Odesa RMA Oleh Kiper for renaming the boulevard in Odesa in honor of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Odesa Regional State Administration, UNN reports.

"I am confident that the recognition of the merits of the Ukrainian Navy by naming an iconic place in Odesa in honor of the sailors will serve as a motivation for our soldiers to perform combat missions," said Neizhpapa.

In turn, the regional state administration thanked the military, who were the first to meet Russian aggression in Crimea and have courageously defended their homeland since 2022.

"They did not allow the occupation of Odesa region and are now defending our land, sky and sea from the enemy, protecting national interests.

The resilience and motivation of our soldiers contributes to the unity of society around the idea of resistance and repulsion of Russian aggression against Ukraine," the regional state administration noted
