Colombia expelled Argentine diplomats after Argentine President Javier Milei repeatedly insulted Colombian President Gustavo Petro, calling him a "murderer, terrorist and communist."

Colombia has asked Argentine diplomats to leave the country after Argentine President Javier Milea called his Colombian counterpart a murderer and terrorist. In January, Colombia recalled its ambassador from Argentina after similar statements by Milea. Bloomberg reports UNN.

The Argentine president's remarks have undermined the trust of our nation, in addition to insulting the dignity of President Petro, who was democratically elected

the Foreign Ministry wrote in a press release.

Earlier this week, CNN en Espanol published fragments of a filmed interview in which Miley called Venezuela a "butcher shop" and Cuba an "island prison," going on to say that Colombia is on a similar path to Petro.

Well, you can't expect much from someone who was a murderer, a terrorist, a communist

Miley said.

The ministry wrote that this is not the first time Miley has insulted the Colombian president. Milei also called Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador "ignorant" during the same interview and said that Israel "did not commit any abuse" of power, according to a video posted on CNN's website.

Colombia's Foreign Ministry says the decision will be communicated to the Argentine Embassy through diplomatic channels. A spokesman for the Argentine embassy declined to comment.
