The construction of the euro track on the chop-Uzhgorod section will not be completed until the end of the year, and it is likely that the construction will be completed by half of next year. This was stated by adviser on strategic issues of the president and member of the Supervisory Board of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Alexander Kamishin, during an event from Eva, reports UNN journalist.
"The implementation time of most projects is unsatisfactory. What we implemented in months in the first year of the war, now it takes 12 months. Modernization of tracks from the chop-Uzhgorod border (section 1435) started in April this year will not be completed this year, possibly somewhere in the middle of next year, "Kamyshin said.
According to him, these are unsatisfactory topics and Ukrzaliznytsia should speed up.

In April 2024, Ukraine launched a project to build a European track "chop-Uzhgorod", which should connect Uzhgorod with major European cities.
Already in August of the same year, Ukrzaliznytsia began a complex of works to prepare the landbed for the conclusion of a 1435 mm euro-track.
