Wang Yi noted that there is a risk of escalation and spread of the "conflict" in Ukraine. According to him, China has always been firmly committed to promoting a political settlement.

He recalled that China and Brazil jointly issued a "Six-Point Consensus" covering "three principles" of conflict norms, "three elements" of a peace talks plan, and "three issues" of humanitarian protection.

China believes that "all disputes should be resolved through political means."

Recently, both Ukraine and Russia have been sending signals of readiness to negotiate to varying degrees. Although the conditions and timing are not yet ripe, we support all efforts that promote peace and stand ready to continue to play a constructive role in ending the ceasefire and resuming peace talks

- the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It is also noted that China is concerned about the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Kuleba reportedly said that Ukraine is ready to enter into negotiations with Russia in order to achieve a just and lasting peace. The minister also said that Ukraine is "carefully studying" the peace plan proposed by China and Brazil.
