The White House has called on journalists to stop stealing souvenirs from the official plane of US President Joe Biden. This was reported by the BBC, according to UNN.
Details
It is noted that the inventory of Air Force One after Biden's visit to the US West Coast in February revealed the absence of several items in the press section. Among the missing items are branded pillowcases, chocolate, glasses and plates in a gold frame.
The White House Correspondents' Association warned that it was forbidden to take things from the plane.
The outlet reported that journalists are sometimes given small packages of M&Ms chocolates decorated with the presidential seal as a souvenir. But taking items with the Air Force One logo, including cutlery and towels, has been commonplace for years.
Voice of America's White House correspondent Misha Komadovsky has even assembled a collection of items from his trips on the president's plane. "I didn't do anything wrong by collecting this collection," he told BBC News, holding up a paper cup with the Air Force One logo that he "just forgot to throw away.
