Biden will observe the US elections in a quiet mode from his residence in the White House. This was reported by a White House spokesperson, according to UNN with reference to CNN.
Details
The current US President, 81-year-old Joe Biden, and First Lady Jill Biden will be watching the election results from the White House residence, along with longtime aides and senior White House staff. Biden, who has no public events on his schedule, is expected to receive regular updates on the progress of the race across the country.
The newspaper writes that today's election looks different than Biden predicted a few months ago, when he hoped that voters would elect him to a second term in the White House. It is noted that Biden's team felt that his quick endorsement of Harris helped pave the way for the party to quickly unite around her candidacy.
“We've made significant progress, and Kamala will build on that progress,” Biden said recently during a meeting with the carpenters' union.
CNN also writes that the White House is working to protect some of Biden's key achievements in the event of a Trump victory, which would seek to undo much of Biden's legacy.
I have huge differences with Trump and his personality. What happens if you exchange my administration for his?
