The statement said the defendants were involved in gathering information on sensitive sites and facilitating related financial transfers.

Bahrain's Ministry of Interior announced on May 9 the arrest of 41 individuals who, it said, were linked to the IRGC. The ministry reported that security agencies had uncovered a group associated with the IRGC, while the prosecutor's office investigations also covered cases related to expressing sympathy for Iranian attacks.

Iran launched attacks on targets in Bahrain and other Arab Gulf states, where U.S. military bases are located, after the United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28.
