On the night of May 31, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 229 drones of various types, including Shahed strike drones. Air defense forces neutralized 212 aerial targets. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to UNN.

According to the military, the enemy launched drones from the territory of Russia and temporarily occupied Crimea. Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces were involved in repelling the attack.
Hits recorded at 11 locations
As of 08:30, Ukrainian air defense shot down or suppressed 212 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, "Gerbera," and "Italmas" types, as well as decoy drones. The main effort to repel the attack took place in the north and east of the country.
At the same time, hits from 14 strike drones were recorded at 11 locations. Debris from downed drones was also recorded falling in five locations. The Air Force noted that the attack continued even after the report was published, with individual enemy UAVs remaining in Ukrainian airspace.
