Four Ukrainians will remain on board the cruise ship MV Hondius, where an outbreak of hantavirus occurred, as part of the crew during its passage to the Netherlands, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine told journalists, UNN reports.
According to the ship's operator, four Ukrainian citizens will remain on board as part of the crew to ensure the vessel's passage to the Netherlands. Upon arrival, they are planned to be sent to a medical facility for quarantine,
Ukrainian consular officials, as stated, are "in contact with another compatriot of ours who is to leave the vessel as part of a partial evacuation of the crew via a special flight to the Netherlands."
"Currently, no signs of illness have been recorded among the citizens of Ukraine," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.
The case, according to the report, is under the special control of the Department of Consular Service, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Netherlands, the Embassy of Ukraine in Spain, and the Consulate of Ukraine in Malaga.
