Two people were killed and eight wounded in Donetsk region by shelling on August 17, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration Vadym Filashkin reported in Telegram, UNN reports.

According to him, two people were killed in Toretsk and Myrnohrad.
They were wounded:
- four residents of Myrnohrad,
- one man in Kramatorsk,
- one person in Chasovyi Yar,
- one person in Sukhoi Yar,
- one person in Shcherbynivka.
Total number of victims in the region since the beginning of the full-scale invasion:
- 2161 were killed,
- 5666 were wounded.
The exact number of people killed and wounded in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.
