The session of the Verkhovna Rada on November 22 was canceled due to the potential threat of shelling of the government quarter. The number of people in the Cabinet of Ministers, the Office of the President and other government agencies in the area was minimized.
This was stated in a commentary to Suspilne by MP from the Servant of the People party Mykyta Poturaev, UNN reports.
The threat of a missile attack has increased. Therefore, not only was the decision made to cancel the meeting, but all Rada services and committee secretariats are also not working today. Just as the number of people in the Cabinet of Ministers, the Office of the President and other government agencies in the area has been minimized
According to him, local residents and those with offices in the government quarter were also warned of the danger.
The overall goal is to reduce the number of people in the potentially dangerous area. The decision was made by the authorities responsible for security in accordance with intelligence information about the threat of a missile attack on the area, so the enhanced security measures apply not only to the Council, but also to everyone who works and lives there
Voice MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak also said that the meeting was canceled due to information about the possibility of shelling.
This does not mean that they will be, but there is a warning, and since nothing important was scheduled for Friday, it was postponed to the next plenary week. At least someone considers the Rada to be a decision-making center
The day before, Suspilne's sources said that members of the Verkhovna Rada had been warned of a potential threat of shelling of the government quarter.
