A high-ranking Iranian delegation has traveled to Switzerland for negotiations with the US on the nuclear deal. Despite the ceasefire, Israel and Hezbollah continued exchanging strikes in Lebanon, leaving 20 people dead.
A high-ranking Iranian delegation has departed for Switzerland for negotiations with the United States on resolving the conflict and a future nuclear agreement. Reuters reports, writes UNN.

According to Iranian media, the delegation is led by chief negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, and includes Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, as well as representatives from security forces, the central bank, and the oil industry. Meanwhile, U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated that he will also depart for the negotiations in the coming days.
Ahead of the consultations, tensions in the Middle East persist. Despite the announced ceasefire, Israel and Hezbollah continued exchanging strikes in Lebanon. According to Lebanese services, at least 20 people were killed as a result of Israeli attacks on Saturday.
The ceasefire in Lebanon remains fragile
In Washington, they state that the negotiation process is progressing positively. Vance reported that U.S. representatives Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are already in Switzerland and are working on the technical aspects of future agreements.
One of the key conditions for the start of full-fledged negotiations between the US and Iran remains a stable cessation of hostilities in Lebanon, but the parties to the conflict are still continuing mutual shelling.
