Details
Zelenskiy said that he spoke with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal today and also spoke with Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko. The president heard details on electricity imports from the European Union to Ukraine via Slovakia. According to him, it is about 19 % of the total volume.
Currently, as Zelenskyy indicated, Ukraine is "working with other neighbors in the EU" on this issue.
I have instructed our government officials to do everything together with the European Commission, together with all our partners in Europe, to preserve the stability of the united European energy system and European energy rules. Whatever Putin may have said to Fico when he was in the Kremlin, European rules must be stronger than the ties of a particular character to Moscow
Addendum
Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko commented on the statement by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico about his intention to cut off electricity supplies to Ukraine. During a telethon, he noted that such a decision would be a gross violation of European regulations.
