The "White Paper" on European defense, approved by the European Commission, actually goes hand in hand with NATO's goals for defense capabilities. This was stated by the Vice-President of the European Commission - the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, during a conversation with journalists in Brussels, arriving at a meeting of the heads of the Foreign Ministries of the Alliance countries, writes UNN.

"We have a "White Paper" on defense that talks about how we can unlock funds to do more for defense, more forces and means, more cooperation and ultimately make NATO stronger. So this plan actually goes hand in hand with NATO's capability goals. It helps NATO countries, European countries, to also achieve their goals for the forces and means we have in NATO. This, in turn, strengthens NATO as a whole, which is our goal," Kallas said.
