Rustem Umerov, appointed head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, stated his intention to strengthen international cooperation. He plans to implement the President's strategic initiatives, including the Drone Deal and the Freya program.

Today, the Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) has all the capabilities to become an even stronger tool for protecting Ukraine's national interests. The new head of the FIS, Rustem Umerov, wrote about this on social media, reports UNN.

According to him, in recent years Ukraine has managed to build extensive international ties with the United States, Britain, Norway, the countries of the European Union, the Middle East and the Gulf, Turkey, the states of the South Caucasus, and other partners.

This is a solid foundation for further development of security, intelligence, and defense cooperation. In my new position, I will continue to work on this

He emphasized that a separate area will remain the implementation of the President's strategic initiatives - the Drone Deal, the anti-ballistic program Freya, and other international projects aimed at strengthening the defense and security capabilities of Ukraine and our partners.

The team of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine deserves even greater opportunities to realize its potential. My task is to strengthen its capabilities, provide the necessary resources, and create all conditions for the most effective work

He thanked the entire staff of the Service and expressed confidence that together "we can do even more for the safety of people and the country."
