About a month ago, law enforcement officers evacuated two pregnant mares from Kharkiv region under enemy fire. The animals were transported to an animal shelter, where one of them gave birth to a small cub. This was reported on the National Police page, writes UNN.

Two mares, along with other horses, remained on the territory of the former equestrian complex near Vovchansk after the de-occupation of the city. Law enforcement officers, together with volunteers, transported the animals to a relatively safe place. There they were under the careful supervision of specialists. Recently, one of the mares in the animal shelter gave birth to a cub. The police visited the "wards" and brought them treats.
"Despite the horrors of war, life goes on and miracles happen in it. This birth has become a symbol of life that triumphs even in the darkest times. Therefore, it was unanimously decided to name the newborn "Victory", - the statement reads.
