Ukrainian mid-strike drones will be produced in Norway as part of a new joint project. Funding will be provided by the Norwegian side, and all manufactured products will be handed over to the Defense Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, according to UNN.
Details
These are strike drones designed to hit targets in the enemy's near rear at a distance of 50 to 200 kilometers.
The Ministry of Defense explained that mid-strike drones have a longer strike range and can carry a heavier warhead than FPV drones. In addition, they are more resistant to electronic warfare.
At the same time, such drones are significantly cheaper than missiles of a similar range.
The first delivery of drones for the Ukrainian military is expected by the summer.
The ministry also noted that in total, in 2026, Norway plans to allocate more than $1.5 billion for the purchase of Ukrainian weaponry for Ukraine's needs.
