The Ukrainian women's sabre fencing team defeated Italy in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympic Games. The Ukrainians will meet Japan in the semifinals on August 4.

The Ukrainian women's team has reached the semifinals of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in sabre fencing, UNN reports, citing the results on the Games' website.

Details

The Ukrainian team - Olga Harlan, Olena Kravatska, Alina Komashchuk, Yulia Bakastova - defeated the Italian team in the 1/4 finals with a score of 37-45.

Thus, the Ukrainians advanced to the semifinals of the competition, where they will meet the Japanese team.

The semifinal will take place on August 4 at 16:20 local time.
