Ukraine's foreign trade went into the red by $16.5 billion

The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods in January-July this year amounted to $ 16.5 billion, which is 18.7% more than in the same period last year. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, UNN reports.

Details

In 7 months of 2024, trade turnover reached $61.7 billion. Ukraine imported goods worth $39.1 billion and exported goods worth $22.6 billion. At the same time, taxed imports amounted to $32.9 billion, or 84% of the total.

Countries from which Ukraine imported the most goods:

  • China - $7.7 billion, 
  • Poland - $4 billion, 
  • Germany - $3.1 billion.

Ukraine exported most of its products to the United States:

  • Poland - by $2.4 billion, 
  • Spain - by $1.8 billion, 
  • China - by $1.8 billion.

In the total volume of goods imported in January-July 2024, 65% of the goods were of the following categories:

  • machinery, equipment and transport - $13.4 billion; 
  • chemical products - $6.9 billion; 
  • fuel and energy - $5.1 billion.

The top three most exported goods from Ukraine are the following:

  • food products - $14.1 billion; 
  • metals and products from them - $2.5 billion; 
  • mineral products - $2 billion.
