Ukraine and Hungary are discussing the signing of a bilateral document that will include the Hungarian commitment not to block Ukraine's path to NATO. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a meeting with the heads of territorial communities and districts of Transcarpathia, UNN reports.
Hungarians are among those who can block the Plan. We will pass any blockade of Hungary. But I want Ukraine to go to victory without blockades from its neighbors, but, on the contrary, with their help. Today we are preparing a bilateral document between Ukraine and Hungary. It contains many things to remove misunderstandings, to remove the challenges of the past, present and future. Part of the document is security issues, namely NATO. This is a gentle issue that can be used to start a dialog with Hungary: please do not block Ukraine's invitation to join NATO
He noted that Ukraine had prepared proposals and handed them over to the Hungarian side, including a clause on NATO.
He also added that Ukraine's membership in NATO after the war would be the best guarantee of security.
