The case against the head of a parliamentary faction has been sent to court, the SAPO and NABU reported on Tuesday. This comes more than 4 months after the leader of the "Batkivshchyna" faction, Yulia Tymoshenko, was notified of suspicion in January, UNN reports.

Case details
According to the SAPO, "despite the exposure by NABU and SAPO in December 2025 of facts regarding the receipt of improper benefits by People's Deputies of Ukraine for making decisions on bills in parliament, the accused initiated negotiations with some People's Deputies regarding the introduction of a systemic mechanism for providing improper benefits in exchange for loyal behavior during voting.".
As indicated by the SAPO, "this was not about one-time agreements, but about a regular cooperation mechanism that involved advance payments and was designed for a long period."
"People's Deputies were to receive instructions on how to vote, and in some cases, on abstaining or not participating in the vote," the SAPO stated.
In January 2026, the head of the parliamentary faction was notified of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with or without confiscation of property.
