U.S. President Donald Trump will hold the 13th Cabinet meeting at Camp David next Friday. This comes amid the collapse of the ceasefire agreement with Iran and the escalation of hostilities.

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to convene his cabinet for a meeting at Camp David next week, which will take place at a critical moment both for his presidency and for the U.S. war with Iran, UNN reports citing CNN.

"Next Friday, the president will hold the 13th Cabinet meeting of this term at Camp David, which will be very interesting and somewhat unusual for the Cabinet together," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Thursday.

The publication notes that this comes amid the breakdown of the ceasefire agreement with Iran and the escalation of hostilities in recent days. The White House is under significant political pressure to resolve the conflict, as gasoline prices rise and the midterm elections are only a few months away.

This is the first Cabinet meeting since May 27.

Trump has visited Camp David, the heavily guarded presidential retreat in Maryland, relatively infrequently as president: only twice during his second term and 15 times during his first.

The complex has been used as a presidential retreat and a venue for hosting foreign dignitaries since the time of President Franklin Roosevelt. The 180-acre quiet camp features log cabins, an outdoor swimming pool, a one-hole golf course, a shooting range, a bowling alley, and hiking trails.
