The published version allegedly removed a reference to the influence of President Biden's administration on Israel's conduct of the war.
The lawsuit seeks a jury trial and about $10 billion in damages. It alleges a violation of the Texas law prohibiting fraudulent acts in business.
Trump repeatedly criticized the channel during the campaign and threatened to revoke CBS's broadcasting license if elected. CBS said that Trump had canceled a scheduled interview with the 60 Minutes program.
