US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he is under no pressure to quickly conclude a deal with Iran to end the war, claiming that time is on the side of the United States, not Iran, UNN reports with reference to CNN.
Perhaps I am the calmest person who has ever held this position. I have all the time in the world, and Iran does not. The clock is ticking!
The President again characterized Iran's military status as significantly weakened, stating: "The Iranian navy is at the bottom of the sea, their air force is destroyed, their anti-aircraft and radar weapons are destroyed, their leaders are no longer with us, the blockade is impenetrable and strong, and it will only get worse — time is not on their side!"
The US President also went on to state that any deal to end the war would be concluded on US terms and according to its schedule, emphasizing that a deal would only happen "when it is appropriate and beneficial" for the United States, as well as for "our allies and, in fact, for the rest of the world."
