U.S. President Donald Trump made an investment by mistake, purchasing shares worth between $1 million and $5 million in the American division of the Japanese company Kura Sushi USA, which operates a chain of sushi restaurants. This is reported by Yomiuri Shimbun, citing data from U.S. tax documents, UNN reports.

It is noted that Trump purchased shares of Kura Sushi USA, which manages Kura Sushi restaurants in the United States. The local subsidiary was listed on the U.S. stock exchange in 2019.
Between January and March, Trump executed transactions involving approximately 3,700 stocks. These included shares of Kura Sushi and Japanese exchange-traded funds (ETFs), as well as shares of the American semiconductor giant Nvidia, whose CEO accompanied him on a trip to China this month, and the aircraft manufacturer Boeing
In turn, the publication Futurism points out that the strange investment quickly attracted the attention of Japanese netizens.
"One emerging theory: the jet-setting president or his son Donald Trump Jr., who technically manages the president's trust, mistook the fast-growing sushi brand for a long-standing computer hardware company," the media outlet writes.
