US President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff suggested that a partial ceasefire, including in the area of energy infrastructure, could be implemented within a week. Witkoff said this in an interview with American propagandist Tucker Carlson, reports UNN.

"We have advanced Russia in a way that no one thought possible. So in the last conversation, they agreed to a ceasefire on energy infrastructure, which means that Russia is not going to target Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and Ukraine is not going to target Russia's energy infrastructure. They have never talked about it before. Here we are talking about it. They never talked about restoring the moratorium on naval strikes in the Black Sea," Witkoff said.

He pointed out that the ultimate goal is a 30-day ceasefire, during which a permanent ceasefire will be discussed.
"We're not far from that, but a 30-day ceasefire is where we need to figure out what the conditions are on the battlefield..." - Witkoff said.
He noted that technical teams will meet in Jeddah on Monday.
"This is a big deal. There are good positive talks coming from Russia about their willingness to consider all these different things. And Zelensky had a great conversation with President (Trump) after President (Trump) spoke with Putin the next day, and I think it indicates that they have some degree of flexibility in how they think about ending this conflict," Witkoff said.
