Trump interrupted a public speech in Pennsylvania on Saturday because of the shooting. Video footage showed the politician being led away by security guards, his ear was bloody. Trump later said he was shot in the ear and lost a lot of blood.

The US Secret Service reported that it had eliminated the suspect, who fired several times toward the stage. The shooting killed one of the spectators and critically injured two others.
U.S. President Joe Biden said he was praying for Trump's recovery, but that he did not yet have enough facts to call the incident an assassination attempt.
