Thunderstorms, hail and squalls expected in Kyiv region on July 19

In Kyiv region, until the end of the day on July 19, thunderstorms, hail and squalls of 15-20 m/s are forecast. A yellow level of danger has been declared.

In the Kyiv region, a deterioration of weather conditions is expected in the coming hours and until the end of the day on July 19. This is reported by UNN with reference to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Rescuers warn of thunderstorms, hail in some places, and squalls with wind speeds of 15–20 m/s.

Dangerous meteorological phenomena may complicate traffic, cause branches and trees to fall, and damage infrastructure objects. Therefore, during bad weather, residents of the region are advised to follow basic safety rules and, if possible, stay indoors.

According to the forecast, unstable weather will persist on July 20 as well. Thunderstorms are expected in most regions of Ukraine. Hail and squalls with wind speeds of 15–20 m/s are possible in some places.

Due to dangerous meteorological phenomena, the I level of danger (yellow) has already been declared in the Kyiv region.

Residents are reminded not to stay near trees, advertising structures, and power lines during strong winds, and also not to leave cars under trees.
