The Prosecutor General reported on the investigation into the organization of a weapons exhibition that became the target of a Russian missile strike.

After the Russian missile strike on a training ground near Kyiv, two criminal proceedings have been initiated. One of them is investigating the proper organization of the event that led to the death of 10 people.

Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported that after today's enemy missile attack on a training ground where a mass event was taking place, two criminal proceedings have been initiated. Within one of them, a check of the proper organization of the event will be conducted, writes UNN

"Regarding this war crime, the Office of the Prosecutor General is exercising procedural leadership in criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the Prosecutor General said. 

In addition, according to Kravchenko, an investigation into the proper organization of the event is being conducted. 

"At the same time, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 3 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding possible improper performance of official duties during the organization and conduct of the event, which led to the death of people and other serious consequences.

War does not exempt from responsibility for management decisions. On the contrary, it requires maximum professionalism, caution, and awareness of every step," the Prosecutor General emphasized. 

According to Kravchenko, the investigation will establish who made the decision to hold the event, who approved the location, time, and format of its conduct, what security measures were provided, and whether the risks were properly assessed under martial law.

A weapons exhibition was taking place at a training ground near Kyiv today, July 24. Information about it was announced online. The event gathered a large number of people. Russia carried out a ballistic strike on the training ground during the exhibition. Currently, 10 dead are known, and about 100 people have been injured of varying severity.
