The number of pensioners in Ukraine has decreased by 190,500 since the beginning of 2026 — more than in the entire year of 2025. At the same time, the average pension is 7,273 hryvnias, or 163 US dollars at the current exchange rate. This is reported by UNN with reference to Opendatabot.

However, about a quarter of pensioners receive around 3,500 hryvnias per month — currently, there are 2.3 million such people. In comparison, only about 500,000 people receive payments over 20,000 hryvnias.
Pensioners in 7 regions receive payments higher than the average. The highest are in the capital: 9,901 hryvnias (36% more than the average). The average pension in Donetsk region is 8,990 hryvnias (24% more), in Luhansk region — 8,752 hryvnias (20% more)
In addition, every fourth pensioner continues to work — 2.8 million people (28%). Their average pension is 7,994 hryvnias.
