The party called the Russian diplomat's remarks "provocative" and "unacceptable." They emphasized that statements about the need to protect Russian-speaking residents constitute interference in Moldova's internal affairs.
Oleg Ozerov's statements, in which learning the Romanian language — the official language of our state — is considered "linguistic pressure," are an attempt at intimidation and direct interference in the internal affairs of our state. Moldova is an independent state, and its linguistic and cultural order is determined by the Constitution
The political force also called for the stripping of accreditation from other employees of the Russian Embassy in Chisinau who, according to them, participate in "propaganda and intimidation." Previously, Ozerov claimed that Chisinau is allegedly exerting pressure on the residents of Transnistria, particularly through requirements to learn the Romanian language.
