The Czech Republic has handed over the last of its usable T-72M1 tanks to Ukraine. This was reported on Wednesday, April 9, by the publication Hospodarske noviny, citing sources, reports UNN.

It is noted that the transfer of tanks took place at the end of March or the beginning of April.
According to the publication, the Czech Republic had 86 such vehicles before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Now the last of them have been sent to Ukraine. Journalists also noted that there are no more Soviet tanks in combat-ready condition in the Czech Republic, although there are a certain number of them undergoing modernization.

"T-72M1 tanks are no longer listed on the military website," the statement said.
According to Hospodarske noviny, the Czech army has now completely switched to German Leopards instead of Soviet tanks.
