The "coalition of the willing" summit in Paris on supporting Ukraine is coming to an end, as evidenced by the departure of the first leaders, The Guardian reports, UNN writes.

Details

"The Paris meeting on Ukraine is coming to an end," the report says.

The first leaders are leaving the Élysée Palace – Ursula von der Leyen from the EU and Olaf Scholz from Germany have just left – so this is a sign that everything inside is coming to an end.

Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, previously published cryptic information about the negotiations in Paris, listing many European and non-European flags along with a military-style helmet, a saluting emoji, a thumbs up, and an emoji with eyes looking to the side.

Negotiators also posted updates on social media in Paris.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who is leaving his post, posted a photo of himself with Zelenskyy, adding: "Germany stands by your side - as long as it takes."

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda said he warned leaders that "negotiations on Russia's terms would create a direct threat to the European security architecture."

Emmanuel Macron is expected to address the media shortly after the "coalition of the willing" meeting in Paris.

He spoke privately with Volodymyr Zelenskyy the day before.

Addition

The Paris summit brought together about thirty countries of the European Union and/or NATO, ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement with Russia, but the United States is not participating.

The meeting was supposed to discuss the prospect of deploying guarantee forces in Ukraine as part of a future peace settlement with US support.

After world leaders gathered in Paris for the "coalition of the willing" summit to support Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held the first talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Zelenskyy previously noted that Ukraine expects more specifics from the "coalition of the willing" summit in Paris on which countries are ready to join the security guarantees for our state. In particular, we are talking about sending a peacekeeping contingent.

Macron plans to use the meeting of leaders to discuss what he called a "force of assurance" of European soldiers who could be stationed at strategic points throughout Ukraine to deter Russia from re-attacking after peace is achieved, adding that it could respond to any aggression.
